Additional ‘Corona Clause’

Our standard Terms and Conditions apply.

If you cannot travel due to Covid-19, we will honour the monies paid to us and move the booking to a later date. For this to be applicable, one of the following must apply:

  • You have contracted the virus within 30 days to departure and can provide medical evidence to support this
  • Your final destination country prevents you from entering due to their governmental guidelines and restrictions on your country of residence
  • Your country of residence prevents you from departing due to their governmental guidelines and restrictions on the embarkation point for the liveaboard

If any of the above does not apply, it is your responsibility to get yourself to the point of embarkation.

FITS/ GROUPS

Bookings for FIT’s will not be considered confirmed unless a deposit of 30% of the total amount has been received. For group of 8 pax, bookings will not be considered confirmed unless a non-refundable deposit of USD 2,000.00 has been received. For 9 pax and above, USD4,000.00 non-refundable deposit is required.  Each of the participants of a confirmed booking shall be given a waiver and liability form to be filled-up on a hand-written format.

FULL BOAT CHARTER

A whole boat charter is defined as a booking with the maximum number of passengers (21 PAX).  

If whole boat charter is not specified in the booking, then Expedition Fleet Liveaboards retains the right to send additional customers onto the vessel. Whole boat charters can be made for less than the maximum no. of passengers but prevailing rates apply. Full boat charter rates are available upon request.
A non-refundable deposit of US $6,000 is required to secure a FULL Boat Charter booking. Full payment is required 180 days prior to departure.

Individuals :  30% deposit within 10 days of reservation to guarantee the slots

Full balance is required 120 days before the trip

Groups:         For 3 PAX to 4 PAX:

20% deposit within 10 days of reservation to guarantee the slots

Full balance required 150 days before the trip

For  5 PAX to 8 PAX :

USD$2000 non-refundable deposit due within 10 working days of reservation

Additional 50% of balance required 150 days prior to departure

Full balance required 90 days prior to departure

FOR 9 PAX & ABOVE: 

USD4,000.00 non-refundable deposit due within 10 working days of reservation.

Addtional 40% down payment  150 days prior to the trip

Full balance required 90 days prior to departure.

Cancellation Policy

Individuals:     91 days and above before departure, 30% is forfeited

90 days to 31 days before departure , 50% is forfeited

If 30 days before departure, no refund is available cancellations must be in writing

                 NOTE: 30% deposit made  is automatically forfeited

Groups:            All deposits are non refundable

Dive and Travel Insurances

Expedition Fleet Liveaboards strongly recommends that agents encourage their clients to have dive and travel insurance. Expedition Fleet Liveaboards is not liable for cancellation of trips due to force majeure/weather or other unforeseen circumstances including medical emergencies, insufficient number of bookings to run charters, mechanical and technical problems. Expedition Fleet Liveaboards will make best endeavors to provide alternative vessel on the same date but is not liable for full trip cost refund or trip costs outside of the range of Expedition Fleets service provision.

Responsibility Waiver

The vessel will make its best effort that the facilities, guest services, and security are of international standards. However, the vessel shall not be responsible for any damage or loss of the guests’ personal property due to any mishaps or accidents beyond the control of the vessel.

Force Majeure

The vessel shall not be responsible to the travel / tour operator or guests for the vessel’s failure to abide the terms and agreements of this contract due to circumstances which are caused by acts of God, Labor disputes or conditions beyond  its control.

Typhoon Provision

By cancellation due to the weather condition or mechanical reasons so that the boat does not leave the port, the trip may be rescheduled.

The coast guard will issue clearance to sail. However, decisions on weather conditions and safety of the boat are at the sole discretion of the captain. Weather conditions that may cause cancellation of a trip: high waves, strong winds, typhoons or a severe weather warning forecast.

If the storm was declared during the trip and it needs to be aborted no refund will be available.

For circumstances beyond the customers control such as canceled or delayed flights, an attempt to re-schedule the trip will be made but a refund will not be issued.

In the event that guests cancelled within normal weather conditions and despite of coast guard clearance to sail, the trip will NOT be re-scheduled and no refund will be available, payment is forfeited.

Non-Diving Guests (Including Children)

Expedition Fleet welcomes the inclusion of non-diving guests on its trips. Non-diving guests include children. Children are defined as anyone under the age of 16 on the start of the date of the trip. When children are on board, they must be accompanied by at least one parent or legal guardian at all times. Expedition Fleet accepts no responsibility for the care of the child and does not provide baby care or nanny facilities.
